K. Jill Rigby is known as a writer’s writer for her innate ability to find the right words as well as a dynamic way of weaving them together.
In addition to working on various projects for The Siren Group Inc., Jill pens a regular travel feature for More.ca as well as other online and print publications. Jill was most recently Contributing Travel Editor for More Magazine Canada and Senior Editor at Cottage Life Magazine. She was the Toronto Sun’s Travel Editor for 15 years. As a travel expert, she has appeared on shows such as Canada AM.
Jill began at The Toronto Star as an entertainment writer and general assignment reporter (kudos include an exclusive interview with the exiled Shah of Iran). She later went into television as an on-air reporter with CBC News in Vancouver.
Yearning for more production experience, she attended the Banff School of Fine Arts. She moved to Paris as Associate Producer on the Ripley’s Believe It Or Not television series, which filmed throughout Europe.
Returning to Toronto, she worked at CFTO-TV as a Production Manager administering multi-million dollar budgets for a wide range of shows including the Miss Canada Pageant and Billy Graham Crusades.
Jill has a Masters Degree in Journalism from Columbia University in New York City and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto in English and Philosophy. She speaks English and French and has a working knowledge of Spanish and Italian.
